Just something

I downloaded this new video editing software a few days ago and tried it with some clips I saved in my lappy. So here it is! :)))

Lights, Camera, Action

School is finally over. Yes, finally over - as in over.

The past months were the toughest times for us seniors, especially me. At this moment, it feels like a great movie that just ended, a tv series that just ended. Do you know that feeling when you are just too engrossed with the characters in a story? When you just feel like you have been so attached with them, that you don't want the story to end? That's what I'm feeling right now. I guess this is what they call separation anxiety.

Four years. I spent four long years with my new found family, my mass com family. For the past years, we all have gone through quite a lot - as in a lot. We laughed together, cried together, fight with one another, and learned together. We learned how to appreciate little things, together. We did crazy things together - like going to class without taking a bath, or taking a nap just everywhere in the building. We got each other's backs. But, it's just so sad that it just had to end.

Graduation closed that chapter of our lives where we had to do things which we don't really like doing; like waking up early in the morning for a class,or studying for long exams. But I guess those were the things I'm missing right now - I just want to do those things again.

Anyway, here are the things that happened during my last few weeks in college.

Okay, so I just wanna say that I failed to finish my term for the Weekly Sillimanian this school year. I submitted my resignation letter to our EIC just a few weeks before the publication is over. Everything was just too frustrating in the office, and I just needed to runaway.

And yes, I would admit that one of the reasons why I chose to resign from the school paper is because of my film appreciation class. It was a tough decision to make, but I guess it was all worth it.

My classmates and I went crazy to beat the deadline for our films. I was too desperate to finish my film, so I ended up using my connections *uhuh*. I chose Alyza to be my ghost (because I was really desperate) and pulled out some of my friends to be part of the film.

February 14, 2015 was the best Valentines day so far. I got to enjoy the day with my friends, playing random games. And guess what? I third wheeled with my parents' date, but I got to finally see the car my dad bought for me (I named him Chase by the way).

And as I have mentioned, my classmates and I went crazy few days before the screening of our films for the First Silliman Film Open at Luce Auditorium. It was one hella exciting experience, but it was definitely a scary one too. That was actually the very first time I went on stage solo, in front of a lot of people. I really don't know whether I should continue making films and feel the same crazy feeling during the pre and post production, but I do know that it was a great experience.

So we've got this unexpected trip to Apo Island for our EJ class and we went snorkeling!

And finally, I've seen Jeron Teng, Thomas Torres and the entire Green Archers play  live here in Dumaguete! Such a dream come true. They were really gorgeous beings and and I've found another hottie - Matt Salem!

When film festival ended, I had this another dilemma with my EJ paper. So we had to make this environmental campaign for less than a week - yes, less than a week. We needed to shift from one topic to another and some of my groupmates were out of this world. Okay, it was a tough week though. That paper work got in to my nerves. But I honestly I didn't expect the positive comment we got from our professor. She told us that if there's a competition, she'd definitely submit our campaign proposal.

While we are finally counting our days in college, we decided to spend most of the time together, as in together. We always go out by groups and reminisce all those memories we had together.

And there came the graduation day. If it were a movie, I guess we were already on the part when the film's OST is finally playing and credits are slowly rolling up. That was the feeling when I started marching my way to my seat during graduation. It was a bitter-sweet moment for me and for everyone. It's just so sad to think that things will no longer be the same, again.

After that heartfelt day, we got the chance to reunite once again at Maam Pal's place. It was a whole new experience for us because we were definitely reckless. Yes, no more fear of failing in her class, so we gotta say what we just have to say. She's got a nice cozy house by the way. And and, just before my closest classmate leaves Dumaguete, we went chicken partying at this chill resto near St. Pauls. I wanna go back there and have some chicken and beer *Cheon Song Yi*

Anyway, anyway, since I hate goodbyes, I'd rather want to look forward for that 'see you soon'. I just can't wait for that soon though. I hope that those memories we had together will last a lifetime. Those were great memories to cherish and to learn from. If this chapter of my life was a film, I'd say it definitely has a happy ending - and a definitely a sequel.

Infamous year-ender post

Well I guess it has been my tradition to write a year-ender post just before the clock ticks to twelve. Since my Tumblr account messed up real bad, I will be posting my year end review here instead. So anyway, here it is.

January.

I'm not really sure if it started on January, or late December but.. okay, I think it's in January. Anyway, it was the first time our shows: #SU and Silliman Insider were aired in a local cable channel. These shows were actually a product of our TV Production class, just for the second semester.

And it was my first time on TV! Hihihi. Although I was caught up in a trouble (sorta) with my news. But I've moved on, and I'm okay now. So let's just forget about it. huh?

 February.

February was a very exciting month for me. No, not because I had a date with someone, but because it was actually my first time riding a plane, and my first time going  to Manila. Okay, I'm such a loser. Anyway, we had our field trip in Manila for our classes under Ma'am Pal. We went to some known companies such as Manila Bulletin, Philippine Daily Inquirer, ABS-CBN, and GMA.

By the way, we also went to Malacanang. And mind you, we got a courtesy call from Communication Secretary Coloma.

March.

Okay, so March was quite a busy month since it's when we had to submit all our required writings, etc. But one thing good about March is that - I got my iPhone!!!! Heeheee. However, before that I became so busy with #SU and our short film entitled; Dagan. I was the Executive Producer of the finale episode of #SU which really gave me pressure, since it's the last show and everyone expects it to be good.

This is a special segment for this episode by Deniell and Darlene. I was even so bitchy to the duo since I didn't really find their first output worthy to be aired. I know I was so mean. But hey, I guess it was best segment ever for #SU.

April.

March was for all the paper works, while April was the start of my internship at Dakila in Manila. Yes, it was my second time in Manila, and I actually stayed there for about a month. It was also my first time to be away from home for that long.

I stayed at my cousin's condominium for two nights before I transferred to the apartment where Jae got for us. In the meantime, I enjoyed the time I had with my cousins. We went to World Trade Center at Pasay for the auto show, and I got a chance to try this awesome game and everyone was watching me play. It was embarrassing tho.

So when I finally moved in the apartment, Jae and I decided to shop for some home stuff. A few days later, Ina and Suzmita arrived. T'was actually our first day at Dakila as well.

We were sent to UP Los Banos with other Dakila members for their ALAB U workshop. I've been on the same workshop before so I was already exempted with the activities they had to do.

ehem ehem. Excuse the faces tho.

By the way, here's Diosa, Tado's daughter.

Since we are already complete and we wanted to chill somewhere and enjoy our stay in Manila, we prepped up for Trinoma.

We were stuck in Manila during the Holy Week, so we just stayed in the apartment, went to Greenhills to shop, had lunch at Ina's tita at Loyola Heights (near Kim Chiu's place and many other celebs), went to the nearby church, enjoyed the view from our rooftop - well that's what we did.

We work hard....

but we play harder. Hahaha. Okay this was when 2048 was a craze. So everytime we have nothing else to do, we play this.
So after about a month interning in Dakila, we prepped up for our last day.

And and, by night, we went partyin' at the Fort. Ely Buendia was there too!

May.

I had to say goodbye to my luxurious-ish living in Manila and transfer to Cebu for my two other internships. Cebu life wasn't really that good to me. Although a lot of opportunities opened for me, it was quite a one hell of a ride staying there. I had most of my money spend on taxi cab since I'm not quite familiar with the place yet. Good thing Mae was there to help me out.

Before I started in ABS, I had a chance to bond with my friends, Patty and Chenny (they were interning in Cebu too). In my first three days, I actually stayed in a hotel with my cousin, but after that, I had to transfer since the place is too far from ABS. Good thing, Deniell was there to help me out. We stayed at a compound - we're neighbors!

We met new friends! They're from Cebu Institute of Technology.

And that's Enrique Gil performing live for the Miss Mandaue Pageant night.

And  that's Charo Santos, for the MMK Grand Reunion at Waterfront hotel.

And up close and personal interview with Mr. Carlo Aquino! *excuse the shitty face*

After two weeks of stay in Consolacion, I had to transfer to a place near Colon. And I swear it was hell. I just don't want to go into details, I might end up ranting. Anyway, before I started in The Freeman, Patty, Chenny, Steffi and I had a mini get-together.

After ABS, I took the opportunity to intern in The Freeman (although I already had one for PR/Advert). So in my first day, I wasn't really ready to write an article, but my editor asked me to write anyway. So on a Friday, I had my first article published.

June.

Manila and Cebu days are over, and I'm back to the laid-back city of Dumaguete. After those foodless (I feel like I've been in an extreme diet) in Cebu, I went home and ate everything I was deprived of, back when I was living alone. And ofcourse! I went out with friends.

First day of class selfie. Oh we just really missed each other.

And there goes this awkward reunion. NO, I'm not gonna elaborate about it. It's really frustrating. But it was good catching up with these three.

Andddd!!! This is Minhak Park. I've written about him few weeks ago, so just check it out.

Then there goes the Min-Su love team!

July.

After all the hi's and hellos, there goes the start of Communication Research thing. Plus! We had our defense, which actually took us by surprise.

Never wearing out acquaintance party. The very first time that most of us seniors went out together. Well it was more of an after party, but I just didn't expect that we'll all be there together at the same bar.  The coolest thing that ever happened!

Oh! I forgot to share, I'm now actually part of the Weekly Sillimanian. I took the exam the previous semester, and went over an interview with some members of the Publication Committee. Now, I'm the Features Editor of the paper.

And nothing's for free, so I got my first salary right here.

August.

Here's another busy month for me. Aside from academic deadlines, I also have my Weekly duties, especially that we had to produce a six pager issue. However, even just for a day, I felt like a real human being. We had our portal pictorial, and you know, that feeling of graduating is a bit scary. Well Just plain scary.

We had our last torch parade to celebrate the opening of Hibalag. And also, we had a mini send-off party for Michiko.

By the way, let me tell you a secret. My hair is no longer a virgin. I got it dyed last August.

I had a chance to meet Abra and Loonie for the exclusive interview  of  #SU/TWS.

My last Founders day parade as a student.

And some overnights for our research.

September.

So it's my birth month and we have been working double time for our communication research paper. I'm finally 20, but my height is still 11. That's sad. Anyway, September was also the "defense month" since I had my defense for 2 major subjects. That was really tough.

October.

The month of finals, presentations and deadlines. I remember panicking big time because I had to juggle my group practices and my TWS duties. It  was really crazy! By the way, we had our lampoon issue published.

And of course, it's fiesta time! So my friends went to my crib for lunch. That afternoon, I went out with Suzmita and Jae and we watched Gone Girl.
We visited our friend Micah and saw her daughter for the very first time. We then went to support our dear friend, Jollyprim during the Ms. Tourism pageant night.

Annnnnd! During the sem break, I was kidnapped by my friends to Siquijor. Yeah that's it. I enjoyed it. Really.

November.

We started our final semester (hopefully) by singing our hearts out at a karaoke bar, since our teachers ditched us on our first day of class.

I was caught up in a bet with some friends over a month. We had to lose weight and live a healthy life for the next few weeks. I ended up losing a bit, but since it's fiesta time - okay you know what happened next.

Basketball training also helped me a bit in losing weight.

Cherished every moment with Minhak. It was so sad to say goodbye to this weird guy.

December.

It's the season to be jolly, falalalalalalalala. Anyway, it was time for us to flaunt what we've been practicing for the past months. It was actually an awkward date for the intramurals, but it was still good though.

Supported my babe through thick and thin. Hahaha kidding! I actually found a new guy. Spot him here:

This is the only Christmas party I've ever attended for this year. So sad. Really sad.

And before the year really ends, me and my friends had some spontaneous outings!

Okay. This post really needs a heavy editing. Hahahaha! I'll do it later. I just wanna post this right now. Kbye
